Volunteer Your Time
The Milwaukee Women’s Center’s Volunteer Corps is a group of dedicated individuals who are a valued and vital extension of the agency’s staff. Each year, 250 individuals donate their time and talents to help us forward our mission.
All members of the community over the age of 18 are encouraged to join our volunteer team. Opportunities range from volunteering a few hours of your time on the day of a special event to a weekly commitment answering calls on the 24-Hour Crisis Line.
All volunteer applicants will be asked to:
- Attend a general agency orientation
- Complete an application and sign a release of information form
- Provide two non-related references
- Complete an interview with the Manager of Volunteer Services
Most positions provide on the job training to equip volunteers with the skills and information necessary to perform specific assignments.
